Perfection has never been a requirement.

We know walking into a church, or even visiting one online, can come with questions, uncertainty and maybe hesitation. Our hope is that from the moment you enter our doors, you feel a sense of love, inclusion and belonging. You don’t have to have everything figured out before taking a step because, like God, we care more about heart posture than outward appearances.

Whether you're exploring your faith for the first time, coming back to church after time away, or simply looking for a place to connect, New Life is a community where you can show up just as you are.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

We’re here to love Oshawa, serve our neighbours and live out faith through action.

We exist to create a place where people truly belong, experience lasting transformation and are empowered to live out their faith in the world.
We believe in welcoming people as they are, putting relationship come before performance, and encouraging growth through shared life and mission.

WHO WE ARE

about us

more about us

We're a Seventh-day Adventist Church, and we worship together on Saturdays (the Sabbath). We believe the Sabbath is a Holy day of rest and a weekly reminder of God’s love and promise of eternal rest in Him.

We believe in pursuing a Jesus-centred life, rooting our lives in Scripture and worshipping Him with all that we are and have.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

about us

LEARN MORE

We worship every Saturday, and we have two services: one at 10am and the second at 12pm. Our noon service is also available via livestream.

In between our services, at 11am, we have Sabbath School, which is similar to Bible study in a large group. There are classes for children, youth, young and older adults. Regardless of your Biblical knowledge, you're welcome to join Sabbath School. You're encouraged to participate, but if you'd prefer to just sit and listen, that's perfectly okay, too!

WHEN WE WORSHIP

about us

PLAN YOUR VISIT

Our church is located at 33 Olive Ave. in Oshawa.  We have two entrances: a main entrance on Albert Street, and an accessible side entrance on Olive Avenue.  Parking is available in the large lot next to our building on Albert Street.

LIFE AT NEW LIFE

What to expect

When you enter the building, one of our friendly greeters will be there to meet you at the door. They'll likely welcome you by saying, "Happy Sabbath," which is a typical way of greeting someone in a Seventh-day Adventist Church. You're encouraged to say it back, but a simple "Good morning" or "Good afternoon" is completely okay, too!

We have two services (10am and noon), and Bible study for all ages (called "Sabbath School") at 11am. Our services include music, prayer, and a Jesus-centred message about what it looks like to live out faith in everyday life. The teaching is practical, honest and grounded, and it's meant to be something you can take with you into your week. If you haven't already, you can see some of our past services over on our YouTube channel.

We're a diverse church with a mix of ages, backgrounds and cultures. If you’re coming with kids or youth, we have dedicated spaces where they can learn about Jesus in an age-appropriate setting.

Many people who come to New Life have been a part of our church for years, while others are just starting to explore faith. A lot are somewhere in between. Regardless of where you are in your journey, you don’t need to know what to do, what to say or what to believe before you come. You’re free to observe, ask questions and most importantly, move at your own pace — we're just happy to have you with us!

FILL OUT A CONNECTION CARD

If you’re not sure where to begin, start with our connection card.

This is the easiest way for us to get to know you and help you find what you’re looking for at New Life, whether that’s community, answers, support or just a place to start.
You can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with.

Filling out a Connection Card doesn’t sign you up for anything; it simply opens the door for connection.

JOIN A GROUP

We’re not just a church. We’re a community shaped by the love of Jesus — where people gather around shared interests, get to know each other and build real connections along the way.

Small groups are a great way to meet like-minded people on a similar journey to you. From life groups to core ministries and informal meetups for young adults and neurodiverse-identifying people, there's a something for everyone.
